Franklin is the boss. Louise is the pretty face. Ralphie is the baby. Spencer is the family spokesman. Matilda, well, we haven't figured out yet what Matilda is. Karl is the weirdo that lives in the carport (because he will not come inside).
The last couple of months have been quite eventful.
Sadly we must report the passing of Clifford, taken suddenly by a devastating illness. He was an amazing little guy. Clifford is missed by all, well, all except Louise who has not yet realized that he is gone.
We have had a couple new additions to the family. Spencer came to us in February, straight from the local Humane Society. In April, we could not resist bringing Matilda home. If we can ever catch up to her to take a photo, you will understand why.
Franklin, now having the most seniority, has assumed Clifford's role as boss of the family. Depending on his mood, Frank's management style fluctuates between Tony Soprano and Bill Cosby.
IN LOVING MEMORY
Rembering our furry friends, lost too soon
Clifford
Clifford was only with us for five short years. He never let his visual impairment slow him down. Clifford was a force to be reckoned with, and sometimes too smart for his own good. Clifford was most certainly the brains and beauty of the family.
Ernie
Young Ernie was only with us a short time due to an undetected illness. Ernie was a bundle of energy, running non-stop the first four hours he was in the house. If he was still with us, Ernie would no doubt have been a little devil.
Oscar
Oscar lived a long, comfortable life. He was big and he was lazy. Not even a bird in arms reach was enough motivation for Oscar to exert himself. The only exception was the chipmunk. Boy did Oscar despise chipmunks. He never caught one, but points for the effort Oscar.
Barney
Barney joined the family late in life. A stray, deciding to take up residence with Aunty and the cousins, Barney was one of a kind. While having a photogenic face, the rest of Barney's body would cause small children to cry - bowling ball stomach, short crooked tail and greasy fur. We wouldn't have had you any other way Barney.
Al
Cousin Al joined the family as a young kitten, coming from his rural birthplace. Infested by fleas, Al was subjected to numerous flea dips, later believed to have contributed to his dim intellect. Nevertheless, Al was a mama’s boy and a true lover of boobs.
Kalli
Kalli came to the family as an abandoned stray, initially as a temporary placement until a new home could be located for her, but Kalli never left. While not the most loving cat toward most people, Kalli could hiss like nobody’s business, and she was truly the Queen of Skidders.
Happy Birthday my big fat baby!!!
