Calling All Beavers

Cousin Beaver beware!

The City was recently exposed for it's horrendous practice of trapping and killing Beavers.

Yes Bea, there are actually folks out there that do not appreciate Beavers.

Will it ever be safe for Cousin Beaver to visit again?
Louise hopes not.
In fact, who do you think first suggested killing beavers?

Beaver Tales

I so beautiful, no matter what I wear.

I am pretty, so so pretty.

This is my dark, Gothic look. I still so pretty.

Election Devastation For Candidate Bea

After a busy weekend of campaigning, candidate Bea was confident election morning that she was going to be the next Prime Minister of Canada. Emphasizing her THINK PINK platform, Bea received media criticism that her focus was too narrow. Bea confidently responded to reporters that they needed to find their "inner pink", and once that happened, they too would recognize that her THINK PINK program encompassed all relevant issues. "Afterall", Bea asked, "what good is a strong ecomony, accessible health care and a protected environment if there is insufficient pink in the world?"

So confident that she recruited enough votes to win the election, Bea opted to display only one sign, in one Canadian neighborhood. Sadly, once the polls opened, Bea's master plan failed miserably.

All but one of Bea's recruited voters came through at the polls. Cousin Clifford tried to vote for Bea, but because he couldn't see the names on the ballot, he accidentially voted for the Communist candidate. Wanting to put a positive spin on his error, Clifford reminded Bea that Communists are sometimes called pinkos. Cousin Franklin was too busy chasing birds, so he forgot to vote. Cousin Louise intentionally against Bea, just for fun. Bea's brother Benny couldn't bring himself to enter the election station, fearing there may be a floor mat behind the voting booth. Brothers Oliver and Charlie were expelled from the polling station for poor behavior. They did not have a chance to vote. That left Cousin Ralphie, the only one that voted for Bea. Ralphie will use any excuse to wear his fluffy pink boa.

A devastated Bea remained composed and dignified, advising the Press that her future plans include staring in a daytime soap opera, The Bold and the Beaver. Was there ever a doubt that this superstar would quickly recover from her failed political career?
